why thank you

i love compliments.
and somehow compliments are just that much more special when they come from guys
(probably because you don't expect most guys to notice things)
so last week and this week i got 2 very nice compliments that i want to remember here so in a few months or years i can reread this post and get a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

so
1) i was wearing my elephant necklace (thank you emily :) ) and just playing with it absent mindedly when someone i was talking to (a guy) said something like 'where did you get that?' and i said 'oh actually emily gave it to me.' and then he said 'its nice'
that seems pretty insignificant but really, its so nice to be assured that something you are wearing is nice.

2) i was trying to persuade 2 guys to buy my SC carnival tickets and (someone suggested that if i said this it would work) i tries to persuade them by saying 'there are going to be pretty girls there'.
one guy then said 'i wouldn't  be too sure about that'
then the other guy said
'why? there's one standing right here' <3
i was so embarrassed but pleased that i had to pretend i didn't hear or i would have been grinning like an idiot for the whole night.

3) (this was ages ago) i was out with my friend and her guys friends and i untied my ponytail and shook my hair out (which is what i do whenever i am out of school so i don;t bald prematurely) and the guys said 'your hair looks nice like that'.

another nice compliment that pops into my mind is by chari <3 who (on this blog's cbox actually) said
'Miri, by 'half way to a bimbo', I think your friend didn't mean the air headed part, but the intensely beautiful part. :')'
