SCOTLAND

CAIRNGORM. is the name of the mountain that i climbed. its actually a hill but it sounds so much cooler when you say i climbed a mountain than when you say i climbed a hill. it was cold at the bottom but as we climbed we got so hot we had to strip off layers of clothing. so from seven layers, it became two. Then as we neared the rest stop, it started sleeting. MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH SNOW. beautiful. at the ptarmigan lodge we had steaming hot hot chocolate with froth and marshmallows and milk moustaches, and then i mooched some soup off hannah. it was so good that we took pictures and pictures of it!!!!!!!! the soup. not the moustaches.

We went driving round in a pretty black car and when you looked out the window as we left Cathie's cottage in inverarnoch, you could always see fir trees with air ferns growing from their trunks and dew dripping from their leaves. And quiet streams just flow and flow and never seem to stop...and tim and renny caught fish from a lake and tim's fish was pregnant but we ate it anyway...though i felt pretty bad.

And dear dear auntie sheila gave me a really useful cupcake book and i have been baking almost every week ever since.
