simple still best

Yesterday, me and emily were in bukit timah plaza, looking for dinner before ballet.
We decided to go to KFC, and bought a shrooms burger for $2.20, and a 'roller' for $2.20.
it was very disappointing. The roller was probably one third the size of your computer screen (or less), and consisted of a wrap the texture of cardboard, soggy popcorn chicken and weird things that tasted like hard french fries devoid of the golden crispy outer covering and drenched in mayonnaise.
So (obviously) we were still hungry. So we went to subway and got cookies. but we were still hungry (at least, emily was), so we went to the old foodcourt upstairs, where emily ordered plain rice.
it cost 50 cents.
and the nice man gave us a humongous portion (i think he thought we were sharing)
and two free bowls of soup.

That is kind. That is nice, That is NOT cheating someone of there money by putting a lovely big golden wrap/roller on the advert and selling them a measly cardboard thing.
Me and emily are boycotting KFC and eating at the food court in support of the nice uncle.

  1. 1/3 of your computer screen? That's huge.
1/3 of your thumb sounds about right.

  2. I totally agree. I think we get caught up in all the hype and forget to appreciate the simple little things that make life so wonderful.
