i hate that i have text message friendships
because they always dwindle after a while
making it so sad when i see that person
because we are at a loss for words
"hello
i never really talked to you
except through cyberspace
maybe we had a connection and maybe we didn't"
it makes me so sad.
so sad that sometimes when i see a person like that
i feel loss and misery welling up inside me
and i have to busy myself with mundane tasks like filling my waterbottle
or go to the nearest toilet and have a private weep
because there could have been a beautiful friendship
but somehow the combined efforts of
cyberspace and my own cold nature
killed it dead.
