I think prom can be summed up in one sentence that i heard from someone once: A life of parties and appearances.
it was fun, i admit, but i can't help feeling it was all a bit superficial, just all the girls showing off their dresses, looking unlike themselves in makeup, posing for photos... I found it all a bit overwhelming and so i wasn't very sprightly during the evening, which was probably why i won the "Miss demure 2012" prize (I can't really see any other reason why, though i was touched at the gesture)
Still, i was proud of all my friends because they all looked so beautiful. And i had such fun preparing for prom with wei xin, running around in FBTs and then in our actual prom dresses!
